This was a project from KISD (Köln International School of Design) and the theme was genre and sport. Our main goal was to design a magazine that would consider different topics and approaches within the theme. I interviewed Aira Bonfim, a Brazilian artist and historian who curated an exhibition about the women's football team at the Football Museum in Sao Paulo.
The use of blue can be understood as a contrast to what many people consider to be "women's colors", and the use of red in the images tries to convey the idea of empowerment, strength and perseverance, things that were necessary for women to grow as athletes.
The typefaces used were all designed by women:
Bitter, by Sol Matas; Trueno, by Julieta Ulanovsky and Mon Trappist, by Vika Usmanova
